Air to Port A forces the pistons outwards, leading to the pinion to change counterclockwise whilst the air is being fatigued from Port B.
Air to Port B forces the pistons inwards, triggering the pinion to turn clockwise although the air is currently being exhausted from Port A.

Air to Port A forces the pistons outwards, leading to the pinion to change clockwise whilst the air is getting fatigued from Port B.
Air to Port B forces the pistons inwards, leading to the pinion to switch counterclockwise although the air is becoming fatigued from Port A.
